Peta Sweet
Peta joined us in January 2001 and has become an integral part of our team.
Peta’s role entails handling permanent placements at all levels. As we are a small
team, Peta covers the firm’s total human resources requirements, and is also able
to handle any temporary staff needs.
With a background as a partner’s personal assistant/paralegal and the added
responsibility of human resources, Peta has an in-depth understanding of legal support
staff requirements. Peta regularly undertakes industry based training and is continuing
ongoing university education in human resources. This enables her to handle all
client needs rapidly with the most up to date HR industry techniques, and achieve
successful results in all aspects of recruitment and selection.
Peta also supervises and coordinates the assessment of applicants and graduates.
Assessments include spelling, typing, word processing, administrative skills, full
interview, ‘Myprofile’ behavioural report testing, competency based behavioural
interview technique assessment and thorough reference checking.
Overall, Peta’s main function is to provide a professional human resources service
to ensure the legal profession has future generations of well-trained and professional
support staff.
